ATO & Chartered Accountants ANZ: Justified Trust Workshop

ATO is currently rolling out Justified Trust strategy to private groups and will continue to contact more private groups as time goes by. This event is to educate CAs who manage the client relationships and work on the tax affairs of private groups.

The ATO’s Justified Trust Program aims to build and maintain community confidence that taxpayers are paying the right amount of tax. During its current phase, the ATO is now engaging with Large Private Groups (assets over $50 million) regarding the requirements and objective evidence now required to “lead a reasonable person to conclude the correct tax is being paid” aka Justified Trust.

Chartered Accountants ANZ has teamed up with the ATO to roll-out workshops across most capital cities, where members can;

  • understand the new requirements
  • hear directly from those who have already undergone the process, and
  • have the ability to seek understanding and clarification directly from the ATO

Further dates and locations will be announced soon. Register Your Interest to receive updated communication.
