Finance business partnering is the future of finance. This workshop is for every finance professional aspiring to play a more effective role in the performance of their organisation whatever their role or level. It will explore the fundamental concepts of Agile techniques for business partners. Agile ways of working, which adds value across the business, is prevalent in finance transformation as increased ‘partnering’ of finance with other areas of the organisation is expected to deliver tangible outcomes. Agile is more than just a buzz word, associated with providing value and organisational transformation, it is a way of achieving more with your existing resources. 

The focus is of this workshop is on how finance professionals can apply Agile techniques to effectively engage with the whole of business, lead projects, influence and impact decision making. Explore the implementation of project accounting methodology with a focus on how to deliver Agile initiatives from a finance perspective. Hear about what it takes to deliver Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid projects with finance and the business in mind.

For those at the early stages of your career, you will gain insights into what you should aspire to and how to reach the peak. For senior finance managers, you will understand how you could shape your finance teams and business units for the future of partnering, and for CFO’s it will challenge your thinking in respect of the finance structures that are already set in your organisation, to derive better performance and project outcomes.

Dina Gofman CA, Co-Founder Project Accounting Australia

Dina Gofman is a Chartered Accountant, holds an AGSM MBA, is a Certified Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master who specialises in Project Accounting. Dina’s experience ranges across a multitude of projects and programs within a number of international organisations. Her expertise ranges from delivery methodology translation, to system modelling integration for project accounting, as well as business case delivery and negotiation. Dina has spent the last few years working with project teams on large investment projects inclusive of both physical and conceptual deliverables. In her spare time, Dina is passionate about multiple causes inclusive of various Australian Arts projects and working with financial literacy within underprivileged world-wide communities.
Assessment required: A post course evaluation will be required to be completed by each participant.

Materials: Printed and handed out to participants at the face to face event or prior to the activity for online delivery of the course.

Participants requirements: Have been working within an accounting or finance function for at least 6 months or equivalent experience.
