The workshop provides a practical demonstration of how to be a professional person when working in a professional environment.

Content Description

Participants will gain a practical understanding of how to be a professional person when working in a professional accounting firm environment. 

Key learning areas of the workshop include: 
  • Explain the nature of the professional person. 
  • How to identify and handle difficult situations. 
  • Explanation of basic ethical guidelines. 
  • Looking at various scenarios involving ethical dilemmas via real life case studies. 
  • Investigate the role of CAANZ and members. 
  • Managing yourself in a professional environment, including: Time Management and Goals; Communication, including verbal, non-verbal and written; Meetings and Presentations.

Learning Outcomes

Upon satisfactory completion of this workshop you will be able to: 
  • Explain and demonstrate the nature and characteristics of the professional person. 
  • Understand how to identify and handle difficult situations. 
  • Build professional relationships. 
  • Explain and understand of basic ethical guidelines. 
  • Deal with various scenarios involving ethical dilemmas. Understand the role of CAANZ and members. 
  • Be proactive in managing yourself in a professional environment, including: Time Management and Goals, communicate effectively and conduct during meeting.
