Course Assessment 
 
In order to complete the course, participants must have 100% mandatory attendance and participate at each session with camera on.&nbsp; There are three assessment tasks included in this course assessment. These include:

 <li style="text-align: left;">End of module application discussion tasks.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">A group assignment and individual interview.</li>
</ul>
You will be assessed as Competent or Not Yet Competent.

Course Workload

The CA ANZ Business Valuation Specialisation Course comprehensively covers key aspects of business valuation, with a strong emphasis on practical applications and regulatory frameworks. It focuses on the practical application of principles, standards, and legislation relevant to business valuation roles.&nbsp; 
 
The initial module lays the foundation by covering the differences in regulatory systems between Australia and New Zealand.&nbsp; Specific modules are dedicated to understanding the valuation process in different contexts, including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, and taxation.&nbsp; 
 
The course delves into the protocols for preparing valuation reports, from initial preparation to presenting findings in various professional settings. The course considers the end-to-end role of a business valuation specialist, emphasising the knowledge, ethical, and behavioural standards expected. Throughout the course, these standards remain at the forefront, significantly impacting the approach and outcomes of valuation work.
Facilitated by Macquarie University, this course comprises of 6 modules:

o Module 2:	Regulatory Environment 
o Module 3:	Valuation Case Studies 
o Module 4:	Financial Reporting and Valuation 
o Module 5:	Expert Report and Expert Witness 
o Module 6:	Contemporary Practices and Issues

Assumed Knowledge
<ul>
 <li style="text-align: left;">Participants are expected to pass the pre-enrolment assessment before enrolling.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">The course is pitched at the intermediate/advanced level.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">It&nbsp;is assumed that attendees have considerable experience in the Business Valuation space and therefore a reasonable level of understanding of the principles underpinning the five modules in this course.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">Attendees should also be familiar with the International Valuation Standards.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">Attendees should ensure that additional revision is undertaken in any areas in which they have a knowledge gap.</li>

 <li style="text-align: left;">Auditors and Internal Auditors looking to specialize in business valuation to enhance their professional capabilities.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">Finance and accounting professionals, valuations experts, professionals working in corporate advisory, consulting firms and property agencies that provide business valuation services.</li>
 <li style="text-align: left;">Non-CA ANZ members who want to expand their knowledge in the Business Valuations field for CPD purposes (note that non-members cannot apply to become a CA Business Valuation Specialist).</li>
