NT Darwin Tax Training Community, FY 2021/2022

The Darwin Tax Training Community was created to serve tax, accounting and superannuation practitioners in and around Darwin. Each session is tailored to the community with training topics chosen based on the community's demands and needs.

Participants join a training community for a full financial year. This tax training community will be run via our new hybrid blend, coming together face-to-face for 4 sessions and via virtual classroom for 4 sessions in FY 2021/2022.

Session Format:

The Darwin Tax Training Community will be presented via our new hybrid, delivery model. The series will include x4, 2 hour face-to-face sessions and x4, 1 hour sessions via virtual classroom spread across FY 2021/2022. The breakdown of these training sessions are summarised below:

Face-to-face sessions, 2 Hour Quarterly Tax Update - The Essential Tax and Superannuation Update covers key tax and superannuation developments including cases, legislation, ATO rulings, publications, and other announcements.

Virtual classroom sessions, 1 Hour Special Topic – The Special Tax and Superannuation Topic is an informative, practical session that covers topical Australian tax and superannuation issues. The topic for each session is selected by the trainer based on feedback from participants of the Training Community.

The Special Tax & Superannuation Topics span the following categories:

Deductions
Tax offsets
Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
Indirect taxes
International tax
Tax controversy
Tax administration
Superannuation
