Design Thinking Series



The aim of this workshop is to equip attendees with the knowledge of Design Thinking as an effective method employed by designers in problem solving and now being accepted worldwide and across industries as an effective approach for decision making.

Chartered Accountants will benefit from understanding Design Thinking as it focuses on a set of thinking tools that can be used to solve almost any problem in effective and efficient manner.

In this webinar you will learn from international author and artist, Rod Judkins about how to make executive decisions. The webinar is offered as a 5-part series where each episode provides insight on one of the five main tools of Design Thinking and how they can be applied to solve problems in any field.


Episode 1 - Define the problem: Defining the problem is harder than you might think. It requires innovative ways to research and understand both your service or product and your client or audience. This episode will help participants to understand yourself and clients using research and other methods.


Episode 2- Ideate: Demonstrate leadership skills by creating innovative ideas, challenging assumptions, discovering insights, experimenting and generating multiple ideas. This episode will help participants to challenge own assumptions, overcome Constraints, discover insights, generate ideas and experiment.


Episode 3- Prototype: This episode will assist participants in understanding how to Create possible solutions in rough formats and apply them.


Episode 4-Test: This episode will assist participants in understanding how to try the solutions out on the client or audience and observe the results. Dealing with a blame culture and learning from mistakes.


Episode 5- Feedback: This episode will demonstrate different ways to respond and react to feedback and ways to create a feedback loop.


Rod Judkins is an artist and writer. Rod wrote the books, ‘Ideas are Your Only Currency’, The Art of Creative Thinking’ and ‘Change Your Mind: 57 Ways to Unlock Your Creative Self’. He has delivered creative thinking workshops and talks to some of the world’s top companies such as Apple, Google, Bombay Sapphire and Samsung. He has exhibited at galleries including Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Academy.

    Rod Judkins

    Rod Judkins is an artist and writer. His first book, Change Your Mind: 57 Ways to Unlock Your Creative Self and his second book, The Art of Creative Thinking, were international best sellers, with sales in hundreds of thousands and have been translated into over fifteen languages. He gained an MA at the Royal College of Art and has had numerous one-man exhibitions across the world. He has also exhibited at Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Academy. He lectures on the subject of creativity at universities and to businesses around the world. He has delivered creative thinking workshops and talks to some of the world’s top companies such as Apple, Google, Bombay Sapphire and Samsung and to Medical Science students at University College London in The Royal Free Hospital for the last few years.
