Forensic Accounting and the Court - eLearning


This activity is delivered by Macquarie University.

This CPD module aims to provide members who work in the forensic accounting space with related information which enhances their knowledge.  The assessment of this knowledge will validate their understanding of the content.
This is a great opportunity for Chartered Accountants to consolidate their knowledge relating to the procedures and etiquette requirements in the context of the court environment.

Upon completion of this module you should be able to:
Explain the role of the forensic accountant in the courtroom or tribunal.
Outline the traditional and modern procedures for adducing evidence in court or other forum.
Explain courtroom etiquette and factors relevant to effective courtroom communication.
Outline the special nature of quasi-judicial roles such as Special Referees, Court-appointed experts and expert determinations.
