  • Implementing - from financial management to value management – implementing the management system, establishing credibility and trust and the annual preparation process.

    Learning Outcomes

    Upon satisfactory completion of the series, you will be able to present the business case for the introduction to Integrated Reporting, including integrated thinking, to an organisation. You will also be able to explain the fundamental concepts of value creation, the capitals, and the value creation process to an organisation, as well as describing the requirements of International Framework. Finally, you'll be able to describe the factors that contribute to successful implementation of Integrated Reporting, within an organisation.

    Nick Ridehalgh FCA, GAICD is currently a partner at KPMG, leading their Better Business Reporting practice. For more than 18 years, Nick has focused on supporting organisations seeking to move towards value-based decision making and reporting. Nick was a member of the IIRC’s working group that developed the global Framework (released in December 2013). He is an IIRC Ambassador. He has been the project leader for the Business Reporting Leaders Forum (BRLF) since its inception in 2011. (The BRLF is an open forum focused on improving corporate reporting in Australia – its members include company executives, investors, standard setters, accountants, sustainability practitioners, regulators, academics and many others interested parties). Nick was also a founding member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) Business Reporting Group.

    Kylie Dumble CA is an Associate Director in KPMG’s CFO Advisory practice and specialises in Better Business Reporting, a service designed to assist companies improve their end-to-end internal and external reporting and partner with them on their journey towards Integrated Reporting. Kylie spent 18 months on secondment with the IIRC where she assisted with the technical development of the Framework.

    Michael Bray FCA has 40 years’ experience in providing assurance and advisory services at KPMG, including 27 years as an audit partner. He has extensive boardroom and C-Suite experience as an audit partner and advisor. He works with clients and advises on their corporate reporting and reports, including financial reports, integrated reports and regulatory reporting. Michael specialises in the corporate reporting change agenda, and leading teams in working through that agenda with clients. He is an IIRC Board Member and an IIRC Ambassador in Australia. He also leads the IIRC-endorsed training program in Integrated Reporting at Deakin University. He works closely with John Stanhope and Nick Ridehalgh is driving the Business Reporting Leaders Forum.
