QLD Building Knowledge Not For Profit May 2019

Our Brisbane Building Knowledge Series has been developed for CA ANZ members and colleagues in the metropolitan area who are interested in attending regular presentations on matters of topical interest.

Sessions are comprised of an informal networking breakfast followed by a one hour presentation by an expert in industry.

In 2019 we will focus on some key challenges facing sustainable charitable organisations at a time of significant turbulence and transformation for the sector.
Topic: Using the numbers to embed a change mindset in teams from within

In our May session, we continue the theme of Transformation in the NFP sector as we hear from Steve Griffin FCA.

Steve has been consulting on commercialising operations within the NFP sector for the past 3 years, most recently with Endeavour Foundation.

In the presentation Steve will outline some key measures he and his team have put in place to drive a change mindset in the Endeavour finance team and wider operations. Using change methodology and business metrics he will discuss highly applicable methods to make sure 'everyone is on the same page' when it comes to financial accountability.
