Peter McGinty
Senior Tax and Superannuation Trainer, Chartered Accountants ANZ
Peter has degrees in commerce and law from the University of Melbourne. He has more than 30 years’ experience in a chartered practice that focused on tax issues affecting family businesses, small and medium enterprises and high net worth individuals. Peter is an experienced tax trainer and is well regarded for his practical approach to staff training.
James McPhedran
Senior Tax and Superannuation Trainer, Chartered Accountants ANZ
James has 18 years’ experience in the industry, including roles at the Big Four accounting firms and advisory roles at mid-tier firms. He has been an educator with Chartered Accountants ANZ for 9 years. His advanced knowledge of taxation and superannuation has allowed him to focus on small to medium enterprises and high net worth individuals.
James holds a bachelor’s degree in law and economics from the University of Queensland and a Masters of Taxation from the University of Sydney.
Bruce Thomas
Senior Tax and Superannuation Trainer, Chartered Accountants ANZ
Bruce has written and presented training on a wide range of topics, including the tax aspects of real estate transactions, fringe benefits tax (FBT) and salary packaging.
Bruce was previously a tax manager with William Buck Chartered Accountants where he advised clients on the application of the goods and services tax, FBT and other government charges. He worked for the Australian Taxation Office for 17 years, including as a senior officer dealing with technical issues involving the GST.
Tristan Webb
Senior Tax and Superannuation Trainer, Chartered Accountants ANZ
Tristan has more than 25 years’ tax experience in organisations such as the Australian Taxation Office, PwC, CCH and HLB Mann Judd. He was the national tax director at Crowe Horwath immediately before joining Chartered Accountants ANZ.
His role required a good working knowledge of tax and risk issues for mid-tier accounting firms operating in the small to medium enterprise (SME) sector. Tristan’s expertise is in company and trust taxation for SMEs and high net worth clients.
Sessions count towards 1.5 hours each, giving you a total of up to 30 hours CPD for the full series.
