This special broadcast will also look at the constitutional proposition offered by the upcoming referendum in Australia and ask what a First Nations Voice to Parliament could mean for our profession.
This event has been created to help members seeking diverse and inclusive ways to attract the next generation of talent to our profession at a time when just 0.5% of our Australian members are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

Hosted by Gillian Bowen from CA ANZ’s podcast Small Firm, Big Impact, you’ll hear from young indigenous accountant Kedeisha Kartinyeri, Deanne Firth FCA from the CA ANZ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander member panel, and CA ANZ Vice President Tinashe Kamangira FCA.
We will also ask constitutional expert, the Honourable Kenneth Hayne AC KC, about the proposition offered by the upcoming referendum and discuss what a First Nations Voice to Parliament could mean for our profession.

A proud Ngarrindjeri woman, Kedeisha runs her own practice, KML Business Solutions, working with Aboriginal organisations and providing pathways for First Nations Australian people to follow her professional footsteps.
Deanne Firth FCA

Deanne is a proud Jagera woman who is the Founder and Director of Tactical Super, an award-winning chartered accounting firm specialising in the audit of SMSFs. Being an expert in the field of SMSF audits, she imparts her knowledge by speaking at a variety of conferences. Deanne is one of the authors of two international best-selling books 'Better Business, Better Life, Better World' and 'Legacy' which include advice on building a business for good in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Tinashe Kamangira FCA
CA ANZ Vice President
Tinashe is Vice President of CA ANZ and a member of the CA ANZ board. Also a Director at Deloitte Australia, he has more than 16 years of accounting, taxation and business advisory experience, serving private businesses and the families that own them. Tinashe is a member of the WA Regional Council in addition to his role as a CA Program Facilitator and exam marker. He also sits on various boards, finance, audit and risk committees for local and international organisations.
The Honourable Kenneth Hayne AC KC
Former High Court Justice, the Hon. Kenneth Hayne AC KC is a member of the Constitutional Expert Group advising the First Nations Referendum Working Group. He has served as a judge of the Victorian Supreme Court, the Victorian Court of Appeal, and led the Royal Commission into misconduct in banking, superannuation and financial services.
