Description

Ethical challenges rarely present themselves as clear-cut right or wrong decisions. More often, they emerge through competing priorities, commercial pressures, organisational culture and difficult judgement calls.

Hosted by Clare Payne, global ethics and trust leader, Beyond the Code is a three-part interview-led series that explores why ethical failures occur, the profession's public interest obligations, and how individuals and organisations can respond to ethical dilemmas, build trust and foster speak-up cultures. Through real cases, contemporary ethical challenges and insights from trusted voices across the profession and society, members will strengthen ethical awareness, judgement and confidence while contributing towards their mandatory Ethics CPD requirements.

Delivered in November 2026 following Global Ethics Day, the series is the first stage of CA ANZ's broader ethics capability program and provides a foundation for members who wish to further develop practical ethical decision-making skills through subsequent learning opportunities commencing in 2027.
