$1018.18
Description
Power BI – Microsoft’s self-service business intelligence and data visualisation tool – is becoming both more versatile and more popular each month. Today’s analysts need to use the best, most powerful and flexible analytical software for their work. More and more of us are realising Power BI fits the bill. We’d be foolish to stand still.
This book addresses the way forward for financial modelling. Many working in banking and finance are creating their financial models in Excel and then importing them into Power BI for graphical interpretation and further analysis. But not here. No, we’re going to build the model in Power BI.
This course details the theory of financial modelling and how it can be applied to Power BI. If we build the calculations for financial statements in Power BI rather than Excel, we can produce statements by product, by customer, by geography, etc. The limitation will be restricted to the granularity of the underlying data and end user imagination.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand how Power BI’s powerful DAX language allows you to drill down on reporting detail
- Appreciate how Best Practice modelling techniques may be administered in Power BI
- Know what order to build financial statement in Power BI and why
- Build control accounts in DAX and Power BI visualisations to construct real-time three-way integrated financial statements in Power BI.
