Sustainability skills for finance professionals' package

This learning package is designed for finance professionals who need to understand climate change, assess its financial impacts, and support compliant, high‑quality climate‑related reporting.

The package brings together three complementary micro courses that progress from foundational climate concepts, through climate risk and scenario analysis, to the practical application of Australia’s mandatory climate‑related disclosure requirements under AASB S2. Together, these courses equip finance professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to support governance, strategy, reporting and assurance readiness in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this learning package, participants will be able to:

• Explain core climate change concepts and their relevance to finance
• Identify and classify climate-related financial risks and opportunities
• Apply climate risk frameworks and scenario analysis to finance assessment
• Assess the financial impacts of climate-related risks and opportunities
• Interpret and apply AASB S2 and Australian regulatory requirements
