Description
Next Session: Tuesday, 22 September 2026
With mandatory climate reporting approaching for Australian Group 2 and 3 entities, many organisations are working through where to start, what to prioritise and how to build reliable processes that can stand up to scrutiny. As organisations across New Zealand and the first wave of Australian reporters gain practical experience implementing climate reporting requirements, valuable lessons are emerging for entities preparing for their own reporting journey.
Join Aletta Boshoff (BDO) and Samantha Sing Key (Grant Thornton) as they share practical insights from supporting organisations through climate reporting implementation. The session will explore key implementation priorities, lessons emerging from early reporters, the importance of documentation and evidence trails, and the resources available through the CA ANZ Sustainability Resource Centre to support your preparation.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand key priorities and practical steps for preparing for your first mandatory climate reporting period.
- Learn why documentation matters and how to create a clear evidence trail for assumptions, judgements, methodologies and disclosures.
- Hear lessons and observations from practitioners supporting organisations through climate reporting implementation.
- Explore CA ANZ guidance, tools and learning resources available to support climate reporting preparation and ongoing capability building.
