WA Building knowledge - Preparing Simplified Disclosure General Purpose Financial Reports
Tuesday, 21 May 2024 - In Person
You may be inclined to run away or hide at the mention of ‘general purpose financial reporting’ … but it doesn’t have to be that way!
With recent changes to the accounting standards (AASB 2020-2) many entities can no longer prepare special purpose reports. You may have been contemplating dusting off your university textbooks, but why not join Alastair Abbott for this refresher instead. He will take you through:
• How these changes came about
• What types of entities are affected
• Top 10 mistakes in applying recognition and measurement principles
• How to move from your current SPFR to a compliant GPFR, including what adjustments will be required
• What tools and software are available to assist with preparing GPFR
