World Congress of Accountants

One of the most important global events on the accounting profession’s calendar is coming to our region; the World Congress of Accountants.

You have the opportunity to help shape the future of the profession by attending the World Congress of Accountants 2018 in November this year in Sydney.

WCOA 2018 will bring together the best and brightest in the field to network, brainstorm and build a road map for the next four years.

The program will cover important themes like digital disruption, automation, sustainability and ethics, as well as technical topics like global tax, compliance and regulation changes.

Sydney is gearing up to host a major international accounting conference that will bring together more than 6,000 delegates from over 130 countries to hear world-class speakers and leaders from the finance and business community.

The World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) is a momentous event for the global accountancy profession, a chance to engage with visionaries and leaders and bring your own expertise to the fore on the world stage.

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and CPA Australia are honoured to be co-hosting the twentieth WCOA in 2018 in Sydney, Australia. Even as technology makes global connectivity easier, there is something uniquely stimulating about coming together as a cohort to identify new challenges, share knowledge and set new strategic directions.

The 2018 WCOA will be held against the backdrop of an uncertain economic landscape, where most countries are still finding their way back to solid financial ground and voters are turning their back on global partnerships. The future of our profession is ours to make and WCOA provides the ideal opportunity to be part of shaping the future. We encourage all members of our profession to be present, share their insight and engage with the brightest minds and most adventurous spirits.
