In this webinar series you will explore business ethics and the challenges of working ethically in today’s ambiguous business environment as you revise your obligations under the Code of Ethics.

By exploring the concept of ethics in your business and personal lives, you’ll acquire the knowledge and tools to enable you to deepen your ethical awareness and further develop your ethical judgement. Throughout the workshop you will work through a range of exercises based on typical dilemmas faced by members, especially in commerce, as you revise the principles, threats to principles and key requirements of the Code of Ethics.

This will assist you to make well informed ethical decisions and take appropriate actions when implementing an ethical culture and/or dealing with ethical dilemmas.

Ethical Matters:

Karen McWilliams, Leader – Policy and Thought leadership discusses why these ethical expectations matter to the finance profession and the role of CA ANZ in this changing landscape.

Clare Payne, Ethics Consultant to CAANZ Education, will then discuss the shifting ethical expectations of business including:

  • The transition from profit motive to stakeholder view
  • Why this transition is occurring
  • The challenges ahead

  • Do these shifting ethical expectations challenge your personal values, beliefs, motivations and attitudes? How does this interact with your compliance with the Code? Work through the issues and potential threats and consider how you would implement safeguards to maintain compliance with the Code.

Join Willem as he shares learnings from adopting the standard in practice and highlights key areas of continued focus for members in public practice and members in business.
